You can also try it but just make you rinse the wheel immediately with water and thoroughly.
The biggest issue is the brakes.
As far as the interior this brings up one of the operations pickups at the power plant I worked at. Coal fired power plants use oil to startup on and that oil is often diesel. In the early days the oil pumps were always left on and oil was recirced. This was very effective at keeping the oil fresh, warm, etc. One of the operators parked the truck next to a set of pumps and went about his business looking at various pieces of equipment. He left the door open and the pump skid blew a line and shot it straight into the truck cab. Nice and shiny inside, truck was basically totaled.
