So my snow tires are installed and the 20s are away for the winter....I'd love to paint the lettering on the sidewalls white I think it looks sharp on big profile tires. I asked if these had that and they said yes....when I get to shop no white lettering those bastards. Anyways any ideas on what I can use ? Also...what should I use to get my hundreds of costs of tire dressing off my summer tires?

It comes in tubes, that's what you want apparently.

As for the tire shine why do you want it removed? It doesn't hurt your tire if it's not the cheap stuff.

Hmmm maybe I can find that stuff at canadian tire or something similar. I wanted to clean my tires up I use the real good stuff ice tire shine by turtle wax it comes in a bottle with the brush its like $12 a bottle but looks amazing until I drive in rain. Otherwise it holds for weeks. I want to clean up tho and apply a fresh coat since the tires seem real greased up from it ...gummy kinda

Dish Soap is the simple solution, it cuts grease and oil. Just get a toothbrush or other stiff brush and wet the tire and scrub away....let dry then apply the new stuff. You should do this everytime u use tire shine otherwise you build up a layer of crap on your tires and it looks like crap...plus the new shine will hold longer.

^ This.

Actually, if you want to REALLY strip 'em down, get some Westley's Bleche-Wite. It's cheap, and it'll take off a TON of ickyness. Use it with a stiff nylon brush for perfect results.

I believe dupli-color sells a paint pen specifically for painting tire letters. It is called Hot Tires

You can choose from White, Red or Yellow.
