Where are you going to put the turbos? I assume you're planning to have a hood that will close...

Take a look at this:

I won't even begin to ask why you want TWO turbos in your coupe which is a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE car! That's just asking for tons of understeer, much worse gas mileage, and seems rather pointless unless you're just doing it as an enthusiast who wants to see how much maximum power you can squeeze out of the VQ.

You sound like a 7-year-old in a toy store. Didn't someone tell you that you can't have everything?

Your best bet would be to ask Santa.

That picture has been posted several times and am I the only one that notices how far that turbo will stick out of the hood? That'souldn't only be the compressor housing bulging out. Half the turbo would be poking through the hood...

And for the original poster, I think you meant to say torque-steer instead of understeer. The handling characteristics of a car have nothing to do with its power. Yes, you can have power-induced understeer or oversteer for FWD and RWD cars respectively, but it isn't technically understeer from a handling standpoint.

GTR is the most anticipated car of 2008! It is (allegedly) faster around the Nurburgring than a Porsche 911 Turbo.

Hmmmmm I don't think the CVT is going to hold very high power. There's not enough frictional surface area on the belt to grab gobs of torque. I think you're hosed

i wanna see it race an M6, that would be a good race considering the M6 has 500 horsepower and the GT-R is an AWD with like 470 or something like that. but i saw online before that BMW got mad about the E63 AMG and that when Mercedes comes out with the new E-class AMG that BMW will release a twin turbo M5 that will have like 800 horsepower.... not sure how reliable the source was but you guys are welcome to search for it if your interested....

Like I said, this car has beaten the 911 Turbo on the Nurburgring so I'm sure it will take the M6, no problem.

The GTR can do 0-60 in 3.5s and 1/4 in 11.9 best a M6 can do is about 4.5 0-60.

But back on topic a turbo in an altima will just make you spin your tires all day long. Unless you start in 4th gear or something.

The 3rd gen already makes about 378whp with a turbo. In order to harness that power you'd have to pretty much turn it into a track car.

Or you buy a 98 Civic and boost it up to 400hp and run a 7 second quarter mile @ over 200mph http://www.popularmechanics.co...age=4

Need LSD, twin turbo in the Altima ain't happening..........just enough space for one. The works will do if you choose turbo.

Yup, the 335i is a little faster, but comparably equipped, the G37 is about $10K less

So you're saying that 0.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile is not worth $10k?

There is the possibility of using a remote turbo. I have been in contact with a company that sells remote turbos, and they are currently looking into how well the application will work on our car. But until there is an engine tune, adding a big chunk of HP is useless.

just got off the phone with the guy that actually designed this specific turbo kit. it will be released first week of 08, around $4,500 for the full kit, they will also come out with a ton of other parts during that first week so guess what guys. who's getting turbo's..... we're getting a turbo kit. but sorry man no twin turbo for a while.... it will be released for the m/t first and then a couple months later it will be released for the cvt. he's just trying to find a cvt to do it on, so once thats complete production begins, but for right now they are figuring out what company will be paying for production(turbonetics, artisan performance, or turbochargers.com) they got the car up about 10/10.5 psi. dynoed 448whp. so our cars have some serious potential guys.....
