My clutch pedal becomes squeaky, especially when driving in stop and go traffic when I use it a lot. I've had mechanics lube it but it doesn't seem to fix the problem for very long. Is there anything I could try that would help the noise completely?

There is some bushing in there that keeps it from squeaking. Mine does it too. I called the Nissan dealership it costs like 50 bucks to fix.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention....

A little while before this squeaking started to become a common occurance, I found pieces of what looked like a white plastic collar or spacer about 1 cm in diameter. I saved the pieces, and they have reminants of grease on them. I found this piece on my floormat below my pedals. Could it be something from the clutch pedal????

Is this part of the bushing you mentioned?

there are 3 bushings for the clutch pedal spring they are replaced when removing the entire clutch pedal assembly from the car and mounting in a vise. the spring is very difficult to reinstall without the bushing slipping out or breaking on you.
