I just got my SR installed, and I can't rev above 3k rpms. Shooting unburned fuel from exhaust. I got a new MAF, o2, knock sensor, set timing, and set TPS. That didn't help anything. All of my wiring is correct, I've checked it at least ten times. I'm getting no trouble codes. 55, all clear. This leads me to believe that my ECU is not working correctly. All of my friends suck, and don't have a spare SR ecu for me to test with. Is there anything I can do besides drop 150 bucks on something I might not need?

There is a way to test the ECU in the service manual I believe: Nicoclub.com/FSM.

Raw fuel means its running rich so I would say really confirm that the MAF is good. Did you get a OEM new or used MAF? The ECU would also throw a code if its malfunctioning which is beyond me how it does that.

I would make sure the injectors aren't leaking or stuck open.

Wow... that's a really good idea. That would make sense because my oil smells like fuel really bad. But do you think that would limit me at 3k rpms?

I don't think there's anything in the service manual. It just says try a known good ECU. The MAF was used, but I don't even think there's a place to buy a brand new OEM one. I can get a remanufactured SOHC one, but a few people have recommended that I don't do that. I can't just keep buying MAFs until I find one that works lol.

I know it's supposed to throw codes, but there's obviously a pretty serious problem and it's giving me the all clear code. (55)

The 3k limit sounds like you're in limp mode... Considering the most common reason I see people in limp mode is a unplugged MAF, I'd be really wondering about that MAF. Try a known good SOHC one just to see if it'll fix the problem. Definitely don't stay with it, but at least that'll let you know if the MAF is your issue.
