Lowering springs/coilover kit is your best bet. DON'T cut your springs, it's cheap and easy, but unsafe. You can check out our advertiser's here: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nissan ... icing.html and see if they offer lowering kits for your car. Also, you can search (bar here--->) to see what kits other members have used.

They're isn't an actual lowering kit you can buy and direct bolt on. People on this board have bought lowering kits for Maxima's and 240sx and custom fabricated them to fit the J.

yep, thats a lot of work, possiably metal fabrications, or just paying big dollars for premium aftermarket shocks. could try hitting up ur local junkyard and pull a pair to try to cut, so that if something goes wrong, you still have ur stock springs.

those were my routes. ive changed it up a bit though since then with a few better parts to adjust camber and have added 20mm spacers with longer wheel studs to get the wheels out more.

the adjustable rear upper control arm is a must have when you drop the rear because the neg camber increases the further you drop it so these help to take it back to stock spec while getting a drop. fronts you will end up using the camber plates on top of the shock. i picked up a pair of EVO VIII Tein camber plates for mine.

Sorry to bring this thread back but I have some questions. I don't want to go crazy and slam my j30. I gather that stock Z31 springs will fit the front and it should be about a 1.5" drop. My problem is finding stock z31 springs and also what to use for the rear. Did the evo front camber plates fit in the stock holes or are you still rocking the modified holes you made for the s13 coil overs? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

two of the holes for the evo 8 camber plate line up and you have to drill an adjacent hole to the third by maybe 1/4" or so from the 3rd hole. i can get a pic later on of it. as for springs see if you can just buy a pair of 300zx z31 springs online. the guy i bought mine from doesnt stock them anymore. i still have my pair but still waiting to hear from someone that has been wanting to purchase them from me. the rears i never got to messing with. i do have a pair of tein r32 coilovers that i am selling. its the only route i used to lower the rear. sorry i got lazy and didnt research what fit stock J30 struts.
