Hello Everybody,

My name is Hamad and this is my first post & first day in the Nico Club.

I just bought a 2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan (Black Exterior & Beige interior) that comes with a Bose Audio System (screen but no navi) and the car has 14K miles on it. I love the car's handling, power, smooth ride, everything except for the Audio system.

As the car comes with a Bose audio system (screen but no navi), it is very disappointing to find that the speakers are not as good as the Lexus speaker or the BMW. The sound is not as sharp as the Bose speakers usually are, and the front speakers of the car are much more powerful than the back (tried the fade to balance the sound but no use), so now I want to install 2 extra speaker in the back and maybe an extra Sub in the trunk. Can I do that without altering the cars warranty and without cutting any wires, I also want to know if there is a software upgrade for the car's original Bose Audio System.

Hope someone can help me with this problem.

Adding speakers isn't really going to help. Replacing speakers would be a better idea. Bose car audio is notoriously poor compared to their other products. Some of it is the speakers, some of it is the CD player and the Bose amp. There isn't a software update for it either.

The best way to get the best sound is to replace everything--speakers, CD player, and amp. Or you can keep the stock player and buy a signal processor that eliminates the factory EQ curve and restores bass along with speakers and an amp.

I got used to the S type Alpine speakers that I installed before on my 2003 Ford Mondeo Ghia (ex car), with their clear, sharp & amazing sound, but the G35’s Bose speakers are so poor compared to that.

I wanted to add speakers to the back of the car by cutting holes next to the back sub to balance the sound in the car and then trying to find a way to install another amp that connects them with the cars’s original amp or wiring.

Do you know where I can get a signal processor and also a way to install it without effecting the warranty incase I cannot install another amp in the car.

To install an amp that connects to the car's original amp and wiring, what you'll have to do is get an amp that has a high-level input and the adapter and connect that to the wires after the Bose amp.

You can get anything that you're looking for at http://www.crutchfield.com. There are definitely places that are cheaper, but that is a good place to go to research products and if you do buy from them, customer service and technical support is 2nd to none. You can even call them and they'll help you decide which products to go with.
