S13's are around 15 7/8 gallons, not sure on S14. Premium not required, but if you are doing some cool stuff with the engine, may want to use it regardless.

thats bigger than i thought for an s14 i always thought it was 16 gallons. Has anybody ever had a problem with their gas gauge not working right. mine will stay on full for along time then it dives way down to like a 1/4 tank then rises back up to a 1/2 tank.

I think all gas tanks go down at an uneven rate, and mine will go up and down some depending on how I drive or if I park on an incline or whatnot.

Gas guages are VERY unreiable. Don't trust them. They serve as an estimate at best...

All pump gas is unleaded, and unless you want to destroy your catalyic converter with leaded gas, thats what you have to use. If your using anything other than 87c0cktane you're wasting money, s13 or s14. :)

My check engine light comes on every once and awhile will stay on for 2-3 weeks then just goes out and comes on in a month or so . I read my ecu and its showing code 76 for the fuel injection system could always using regular 87 octane cause my check engine light to do that? About 2 weeks ago i added a bottle of stp fuel system cleaner.

How many people don't use premium? I know that regular, plus, premium or premium plus will work, but I would hope that sticker on the fuel door was put there for a reason.

I usually try to put premium in there unless I'm super broke. I try to stay away from mid-grade because here it's only 2 octane more than regular and it's usually 10 cents more.

I have measurable differences in gas mileage when using premium compared to regular, so i don't know what you mean we are 'wasting our money'. I also like to use the clear brand of gas wherever i can find it.

when i was in lab in college, i did a unit on petroleum distillates, and we burned 1 liter of clear gasoline and regular yellow gas. the clear had less byproducts after combustion than the other stuff. this means less crap clogging your engine.

My gas gauge is funky no matter what car i drive, maybe its just me...

Just think of it this way. It's only about 3-4 dollars more than regular to fill with premium (estimate for our cars, not SUV). Wow 17 gallons? Shiet i wish i could get GOOD mileage from that 17 gallons

I run premium all the time, it may even burn more efficient for you, probably not, but maybe.

I run it because 12 psi and low octane = oh noes!

Twice a week, that's like 30 bux a month extra.

I dont think higher octange gas burns more efficiently. It just resists detonation better so your car times more aggresively or something along those lines.
