How bad is my Clutch???

I have noticed that my clutch has been getting weaker at a fast rate in the last 2 months. At idle you can hear kind of a whining sound...then you press in the clutch pedal, and the whining goes away and the engine speed elevates about 150-200 rpm. It is almost as if there is a load on the engine. Just last week i noticed that after about 5500 rpm it is FLAT! No pull at all. I have a fidanza flywheel on the way but i am not buying my new clutch (spec stage III) until after x-mas. Is it just the clutch or could it also be something else. Thanks for the help guys.

the noise is the throwout bearing going bad. to see if its definately slipping, go from 1st to 4th or 5th gear and watch the rpms, if they go crazy its slipping

what do you mean by crazy? I go from 1 to 3 a lot but the only thing odd is that it takes forever for the rpms to drop...instead of just catching like it should and lowering the engine speed...
