Well you bought top feed injectors, so you will need a top feed rail.

It looks like those injectors seating surface is actually wider than the stock ones. This means you will have to widen your stock injector gaskets(those black rubber donut things that the injectors sit on). In addition, the injector tips appear to be wider than stock. Thats going to be a PITA dude.. If your stuck on keeping those injectors, you will need to find a machine shop to machine each runner's injector port so that those injectors fit.

That being said, im using a single picture to try to figure all this out for you, i might not be right. You need to test all this out by taking off your fuel rail and seeing if the injectors will fit, checking the things that iv mentioned.

Machining just means using special(expensive) tools to safely and uniformly remove metal.

my fuel rail is off. the bottom of the injectors, it looks like i will just have to file off the trumpet looking thing or drill a little into my runner. it is the same diameter.but the bottom doesnt go very far into the runners. the top I think I will have to make the holes in my fuel rail bigger. and yes I know they are top feed...this is a sohc. the stock ones are top feed. I dont mind modifying my fuel rail cause I have three. but these injectors arent cheap. Im stuck on them cause that is what my ecu is tuned for. thanks for the help though. if anyone else has ideas or solutions please post them

DON'T modify the injectors. it is easier to have the fuel rail and intake machined for those to fit. unless you have the PROPER tools to do this, yes a drill and dremel will work, but you have to have an extreemly steady hand and perfect sizing/aim/degree... to make those fit where they will not have any leaks, if you are boosted then you could have blow back of fuel and that can create a fire hazard pretty fast.

do it right and have it machined by someone who knows what they are doing. don't mes with the injectors, make your life easier and don't touch the injectors, if one fails and you need to replace it. its easier purchasing a new one and not having to modify it exactly how you modified the others to fit in the stock hole. and manifolds are plentiful in junkyards if something happens and you need to go back to stock. plus if you ever upgrade your injectors and you need to sell the ones you have for some $$. modified injectors are goign to be harder to sell

also think about making a bracket that will hold the fuel rail to the manifold if one is not there already

thankyou. i have been tinkering and I made the bottom fit in the runner. all I did was make almost a counter sunk hole sort of. now the trumpet fits. I also drilled out one hole in the rail so that the plastic neck will fit in tighly, but tommorow I am going to but it on a drill press and doit so the seal wil fit also. This is pissing me off so much I almost decided to jb weld them in for a second...I would never do that especially as much money as i put in to this damn thing.....what are you talking about with the blow back of fuel....If you guys are curious to my build just go to search for true pig build

blow back is when you have an oblong hole from you drilling and its not a perfect circle.

but the more dangerous thing is if you don't drill your fuel rail perfectly then you will have a 45+psi fuel leak coming off your fuel rail, along with the "finger over the garden hose effect" out of a small hole that could really put the pressure even 5psi higher.

all i am saying is be careful and test it prior to driving it. fuel, steering, brake, suspension systems all should be modified very carefully and tested accordingly since those are the systems that can can kill you or save your life.

sorry if it sounds tramatic, but i had an engine bay fire due to a failing feed oil line to my turbo, which sprayed oil all over my manifold, caught on fire and on my SRT-4, the turbo is in the back and with no fire extinguisher, there was nothing i could do but watch. luckily it went out, but I learned quick to always check your fittings and if it does not look right. it will fail.. sooner or later

return those injectors and buy some that will drop in. It will be cheaper in the long run. If you do any "machining" with a drill you will never get the O-rings to seal right.

If you are working with a KA24E there are like half a million injectors to choose from. Rx-7 can be had in 460cc and 550cc and they drop right in.

BTW where did you come up with those injectors?
