I noticed that my front tires are wearing faster than I'd like...more wear on the outside than the inside. Anyone else having more wear than normal?

I'm at just over 12k for my 2009 G37S sedan.

Discount tire measured the tread at 4/32

i got new tires at about 32k miles on my 2010 G37x... my tires wore very evenly down to 2/32

My new set is wearing evenly still... might be because i have AWD? checked your alignment?

damn i have 45k miles on my 2010 lol, and your 2009 only has 12k... wow i must really drive alot...

oh and a side note, the stock tires only have a 260 tread rating... i ate through the tires in less than a year. I now have 400 tread rated tires in my signiture.

I looked closer at the tires and it seems the middle has more tread than the edges of both front tires. Still, at 12k it seems way soon to replace!

More wear at the edges than in center is a sign of underinflation, but I'd think the TPS would be lighting up if they're low enough to do that.

Just filled them with air...lowest was 29psi. I must say that I'm not happy...

What tires came on your G37?
4/32 at 12K is way too soon!!!
I replace mine at 4/32.....I might run 4/32 some on the rear, but not on the front.
sounds like you need an alignment....and some new tires,
Would not waste money on an alignment with those tires.

The OEM tires are the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's. Alignment is perfect. Haven't done suspension mods. Haven't auto-X'd or drag strip.

Wear is greater on both edges of both front tires. The 4/32 measurement is from the middle.

I'm thinking of trading it in...If I do 1k in tires, it will be another year.

What's on your short list?? (must live thru others....)
Something tells me that it won't be another G.
Guessing you want more HP than what the G provides.

ZL1 Camaro has caught my eye...dealer mark-up may be a deal-breaker. Projected MSRP to be around 47k. The CTS-V coupe is also a contender...but that would have to be used.

Was making my rounds...drooled on two new GT-R's, revved a used GT500, and revved this one....LIKE NEW, was owned by a local collector. Limited Ed. numbered car.
Let me know if I need to test drive it for you! :gapteeth:
Less than $3k miles, 425HP Hemi for $34k...even has sunroof and heated seats.
