How are you transporting

Bikes, surfboards, kyaks, etc?Do you have a roof rack? Did you have it installed or do it yourself? Does it matter what kind?Or for bikes is there some kind of back of the car device?

I'm used to having a bigger SUV, but now I only like driving my versa. The trunk fills up quickly with my daughter baseball gear and my sons musical instruments. Besides, I'd probably only get one bike in the back anyway and I like to bring one to three.

Thule makes a roof rack, and Target has a generic bike rack that will strap to the tailgate that doesn't look too awkward on the V. I have none of these items, so I will have to defer to those who bought these devices to let you know how they worked.
