Well, I'm gonna be on the other side of the fence on this one. I've been in the stereo business for over 15 years. I've installed hundreds of systems with extremely cheap crap to extremely high end awesome equipment. You can get perfectly good sound from cheapo equipment if you install it right, use the right enclosure, and of course provide it with some decent clean power.
Whether it's good enough for you depends entirely on what you want and how much you want to spend. What price did you find those Pyle's for? I could sell you the Pyle 15" as pictured above for probably less then half the price of that TC-1000. There are many subs to be bought for a fraction of the price of the "good" ones. You can surely make them pound hard in your car and if you find them cheap enough you could afford to buy another even if the warranty didn't replace them in the unlikely event you blew one. But you shouldn't have to anyway. Most of them have decent warranties anyway. I've used plenty of the "cheapo" brands when people either brought them into the shop to have us install them or they wanted to buy something but didn't have the budget for a $200 woofer.
I've never heard of TC either but they look decent. There are dozens of decent speakers on the market right now. I can tell you one thing at $159 I would probably find one in a more known brand name because that's not cheap. Obviously I get them wholesale but even marking them up a bit I can provide a bunch of options in that price range.
Here's an example of a "cheapo" system that sounded pretty decent and the cost was rediculously low. We paid less then $10 for this sub and wired it to a little kenwood amp that was under $100. It's even running free air. The guy only paid about $250 for everything including install. He did have a really nice head unit tho that he already had. Obviously it's not going to compete with a $5000 system but for this old beater car and this guys budget it was great and it did "thump" which was what he wanted.
