i have a 240sx se FB and it came with a stock wing that looks kind of nice . but the prob. is that when i lifted up the wing theres rust all over the place especially where the wing mounts at . this caused the hatch to rust over into a hole .

it looks like its spreading, how am i supoesed to take off the rust and patch it up?

ill try to get some pics up as soon i can find my camera

On cars with wings (some SE's) the rust that I've seen its pretty nasty so they just get a new hatch wich you can get in a junkyard!

You should probably see if you have a rust-free hatch in your area at a local junkyard. That would be easier. I really suggest just buying a new hatch. That rust is the awful kind.

get a wiperless/wingless hatch at a local junkyard...WAY better idea. If the rust is already fully set in, there's no sense in fixing it as cheap as a hatch is to come by at a local junkyard. They are EVERYWHERE...and you'll never have to worry about leaks or rust again!

buying a used hatch is your best option, do not attempt to have a body shop to fix it, it will cost you more (if they are doing it right...). Unless you are getting the whole car resprayed....

unless your a competent welder and can patch it just replace the whole thing. common problem (mines done the same thing)
