My turbo timer says it has a built in boost gauge, should I still buy a real boost gauge also or are boost gauges threw turbo timers acurate enough?

I think they are accurate enough. The only difference with an aftermarket boost gauge is where the boost sensor is located. The closer to the boost source the less lag and more accuracy you get.

For a timer I'm pretty sure you'll have to have a signal line going from the mani to the timer brain. Don't know if this is the case with a boost gauge or not.

I'm, for example, just using my EBC as my boost gauge. Hey... if I'm trusting it to control boost... I can trust it to measure it.
