Hello folks, I thought I share a really easy mod done in 5 min. When at the auto store simply grab some door trim. I always was uncomfortable with the glass edge in the rear window so exposed. Moreover, if you like moving alot of stuff around then protecting the glass edge from accidents is not a bad idea. I know its probably strong but I like a little protection anyways. Well here is my mod. The funny thing is after I trimed the left side, the leftover was the perfect size for the right side as if it was meant to be done folks!

I think it looks OEM great for it being a cheap **s mod! :BnB

Cool idea, it does look good.

Speaking of door seals, I added a whole bunch to my front doors near the side mirrors, as this are was generating a ton of whistling road noise which sounded like it was coming from the roof rails (but it wasn't). My install was nowhere near as clean and OEM looking!

I guess the point I'm trying to make is the door seals including around the back hatch are pretty weak, so anything you can do to improve these areas is worthwhile, in my opinion!

Real Easy:

1) Go to Wally World and buy the 24 inch door edge protector. The one in the picture is slightly rounder while wally's is a tad flatter, barely perceptible though. It was bought at Advance Auto. The cost will be approximately $2.99 before tax. Yes, a really cheap easy mod that looks more expensive when done. :dblthumb:

2) Instead of applying to the doors edge, same process obviously when you apply to the exposed window edge on the cargo hatch. Trim to fit. Actually after you cut to size on the driver's side, your left over should be the exact fit for the passenger's side. Just make sure you like the angle of your cut. I stopped where the glass edge ends.:luck:

PS- when the cargo hatch is in the closed position, it really matches the window trim especially if you look at both the finish product and the small rear windows on the side of the Rogue. The continuity is absolutely great (if not perfect) and looks OEM with the original Rogue window trim! :bigthumb:

I guess for Nissan to save money they did not add black trim around the rear cargo window which is unfortunate as I always have to wipe dust from the bottom area of the window when cleaning the car.

I bought the trim. When installing it I noticed that the edge of the glass on the passenger side already had an inch long chip on the underside. Have no idea how or when it happened. Thanks for the info. Definitely, definitely, a must do. :dblthumb:
