how 2 replace trunk light

hey guys do any of u guys know how to replace the license plate light on the outside and what number bulb does it use? i wanna switch it 2 blue

I believe its 194... check the lighting thread and do a search for the install.. its simple...Sure you wanna put a blue led on the back of your car? seems ballzy IMHO

It's definitely two 194 bulbs. And LongBeachCoupe speaks true... Blue is really ballsy...

I would recommend getting white LED's. They would look good shining on the red paint back there.

lol na i just like a lil contrast too much matching hurts my eyes lol but i have blue HID's thats why ive seen it done and trust me it look sick

Blue all the way... We put blue on our plate light as well as the door lights and it looks great!

Wow, blue lights are illegal in all 50 states, and that I know for a fact! It's reserved strictly for law enforcement/emergency vehicles. Check your local laws on the matter.

so how do you replace the lights??? no one has said...im getting mine in the mail soon and dont wanna break anything.

It's very simple. From the inside of the trunk, you have to first remove the lining which is held by a bunch (8-10) retaining clips. From there, you can access the backside of the license plate. To remove the bulbs, just twist (counter-clockwise) and pull outward. Reverse process when installing new bulbs. It's that simple!

I switched mine to the white and have had no problems but if your going blue that's just asking for trouble. (although it would like sweet)
