is 25k entry level good enough for outside houston areas? I know there are a few suburb areas around houston. 20-30 min outside.

But you think i could make it on 25k?

if you are renting an apartment, then yes. If a house, then maybe. THe cost of living here isn't that bad, but most people that rent houses wnat your left testicle and 3 toes for you to live in their house.

ehhh you'll get by. i'm not to sure but for a house, you will pay atleast 1000 per month for something descent. food can be pricey unless you are used to eating at home. electricity is kinda high.

What kind of work?

I assume you're looking to get out of AZ. As a guy that lived in several states in the 90's, let me tell you from Northern Va north is pricey, though there's always spots here and there.

You might consider purchasing a home for the tax reduction... something to think about. You'll also have equity to borrow against should you run into trouble.

If the job is better than your current job go ahead move.

Is it something that builds your resume or an improvemtn in job title?

If so go ahead move.I'd love to move more south or west than I am now ( tho it looks like I will move the opposite direction soon)

Fred...
