Yes, commuting into Hartford for work. I don;t know the budget but this is a 1st post college job so as inexpensive and as close as possible. I believe the first place being looked at is in GlastonburyRager wrote:what the radius outside of hartford? will they be communting into hartford for work? whats the budget? ive grew up and lived almost my whole life in ct so ill should be able to help you out
Unfortunately I can't define inexpensive in this case, I suppose not slummy. This is for a just outta college kid from the WashDC burbs on their first job, with some possible parental assistance.numbnuts240 wrote:berlin and newington aren't bad either. there are more, but it depends on how far/long they're willing to commute. hartford rush hour sucks, but it's nowhere near nyc rush hour. if it's planned correctly, or your hours are in your favor, it can be a non-issue. i'm halfway between hartford and new haven, and i can hit either city in 20-25 minutes with open highway without driving like tom petty.
also, define inexpensive. this IS ct we're talking about, after all. i haven't been in the market for a long time now, but from what i gather these days, inexpensive usually means complete s*** hole surrounded by scum, even in the suburbs. something decent will still cost a pretty penny.
WOW! You da man.darylzero wrote:Once you decide on the towns to look at, he can use https://www.padmapper.com/ to help find a place. It uses craigslist, apt. finder and others to map the places for rent makes things much easier.
