Assuming the keys still work in the door, who would know that the ignition switch is toast? If they break in, they are going to probably pop the switch anyway if they want to steal the car! I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, but that is just me! It only takes about 5 seconds to get inside an S13 with a coat hanger but it takes me about 30 minutes to remove the ignition set.

I'm no expert, but I'd imagine you could just get your ignition lock replaced.

that is the shiet...i wish my car would do that...turn on the key and put the keys back in you pocket while you drive ....wire up a kill switch or somthing....or go get another ignition with key from a junk yard....thats probaly the only way to fix it cheap...whenever you race turn on you car throw the keys out of the window(weight reduction) . just to find positives to this....

p.s. you dont want to visit "sunny" florida not now any way hurricane katrina is coming and the streets flood pretty easily making me cringe everytime i hit a giant puddle, hoping the intake doesnt get any

I've got a 90 hatch and a 91 coupe and the keys to my coupe open and start both cars. I've tried my key on other people's cars unknowingly to them and have had no success. I guess these cars were meant for eachother.

my car('90 hatch) does the same. i use it to my advantage though. like when i put gas, i don't like to turn her off. so i pull the keys and lock the door. that way the car keeps running while i go inside, but i dont have to worry about someone jumping in and taking off. but about alarms. i peronaly am very paranoid about getting jacked for my baby so i equipped her with a clifford g5 450. it's not the top of the line, but clifford makes the best alarm system u can get. the ignition wires are all black, so even if jacker guy got around the noise he wouldnt know which wires to cut. doors, hatch, hood everything is linked to the alarm. this is optional but i added a proximity sensor which makes the alarm chirp just by standing next to it. like i said i'm mad petro about getting jacked. my next move is to finally get a sig sauer. oh yes. i just haven't made up my mind. compact 9mm or compact .45. i kinda want the .45 its only like 30 bucks more($805) and a lot more power. so yes get an alarm and get a gun. protect urself and ur ****. thats my moto.

I love my ignition, its halfway broken so its kinda like anti-theft. Even if someone stole my keys, they could not start the car haha . Ive taken it places to get it serviced, and the guys can never get it to start. Its like my car has a g-spot or something in the ignition . You have to push the key downwards in a certain way while turning it, otherwise it wont start, or even crank.

and its great when I just reach over and start it in front of the guys face, and they think im magic or somthing for just twisting the key

So wait... you push your 'magic key' downwards and turn it just the right way... and it'll turn everthing on...get the 'lubrication' pump squirting the underside of what you ride. You just have to turn it once?Man! You DO have the magic stic...key...magic key...

The only place on your house you have to worry about cranking it up is in the bedroom!!!

Man, you guys are p******. Magnum caliber pistols are the only way to go..50 10-inch barrel Desert Eagle.Yeah it's heavy, yeah it jams, but DAMN.That thing is accurate like a cruise missle...Besides, how many times are you in gun fights, compared to how many times do you go to the range and plug silhouettes? Sure it's a buck a round, but who cares?

having stared down the barrel of a gun held in a nervous hand I can tell you a gun is a gun, any one of them will ruin your day. I prefer the 1911 .45, it falls into hand and while it has the knockdown power I get faster target reaqusition than any magnum I have shot, even the short-barreled model. I've never seen a doubletap performed with a handcannon I miss the range, stupid *** commited sucide with a rented gun and they shut it down

you still got to get the tumblers lined up to work with your key. you can get it done at the dealer for pretty cheap. go to the part dept, they'll do it
