If the header is hitting your column. You need new motor mounts.

Looks nice. What size are your wheels? They are a little big in my opinion, that or maybe a lower profile would look better. Otherwise, that's real nice.

your car looks nice man. I think the Nismo mounts were made for the SR motor and will make your engine sit taller than the stock ones.

Damn those tires are phat yo. Seriously, it looks like you are putting down some serious power. Do you have VLSD?

What's this a reply to? I got hs headers used from anthony and he installed them for $200 (sweet). The only thing wrong with them is the egr isn't lined up so I have to disconnect it from the intake side line it up and tighten it. it's in now, but doesn't tighten and it's (egr) is halfway out. newest generation, too. I'm realy happy with the powergains for $200 dollars, i don't know if it would be worth $320, though. from now on it's used parts except for things that wear like tires and suspension.

Dude, i'm running a Hotshots header, not a greddy, unless greddy own and produces the hotshots headers? It does seem that the nismo motor mounts are causing the problem. No VLSD yet...no logic there, but i think i'll have to do that soon...those 255's on the rear still spin violentely...makes me believe in the ka that much more. I'll wait for the dyno results to see the #'s because it's all in the numbers plus it's cold on the east coast so there is no heat in the tires. Next upgrade after the dyno is the Jim Wolf ECU..aggressive mapping, 7grand limit and no speed limiter...well see if jim can really make me some added power..What do you guys think? Remember, believe in the truck motor....later guys.

Yes, Nismo mounts sit your KA engine 1/2" taller in the engine bay. This does two things: 1) makes your header rattle on the underside of your car right near the steering column and 2) makes it so you can NOT install a strut tower brace.

The mounts look the same, and upon closer examination, they still look the same. But they arent. One mount is 1/2" taller than the KA version and the other has an offset bolt pattern by 1/2", making your KA engine sit higher. I went thru this the hard way.

Hay, i have a cusco strut tower bar on it right now, did not have a problem with that..maybe because of the different years of make from mine and your. mine being a 95'. What pisses me off is that after all that work, my dad's 03' G35 sadan blows my doors in..that rat's got an LDS and likes to laugh at me..bastard..

I think 240's look good with wide tires. I just orderd Nitto nt 450's 225-50-16 to go on the rear of my car. I run 205-55-16 on the front.

man, car looks good bro, I kinda had to shake it off for a minute there, the graphite gray ones are rare as hell. wheels look good though, the tires really fill up the wheelwells nice!

so you guys are saying that the stock motormounts will not cause the hotshot headers to rattle on an s14? is there any reason to upgrade motormounts on a stock ka24de?

glad you like the car, it took alot of work. the gray is factory lexus is300 graphite gray perl. If your running stock motormounts you won't have problems with a hotshots header, only if you have nismo motor mounts which are stiffer and bigger make the motor sit higher. The reason for the switch to the nismo one's are because i want to utalize every bit of power the ka can put out and the mounts help in transfering that to the ground.
