looking into a fmic kit from greddy..i have a wastegate actuator line that goes onto a nipple on the coldpipe of my smic(the small line)..when i remove this pipe for a hardpipe where should i get this signal...can i just tap off my bov line which connects into one of the nipples by the throttle body.....or do i have to get a hotpipe with a fitting on it..(or get one welded on)...what do i do?i saw on heavy throttle (the first hotpipe on the list)has this nippile on it....but no spot for a bov....i dont get it????

Heres what I did with the Greddy FMIC (super ghetto fab style):

Tools:-dremel with fiber re-enforced metal cut discks-8mm socket-super duper super glue-drill

Peices you'll need-Rubber hose from stock BOV (4-5 inches will do)-Plastic bottle cap big enough to fit tightly inside hose and firm enough to resist flexing under pressure.-2x Hose clamps from stock BOV hose-Stock BOV for cannabilizing

1)cut the top disk with the nipple sticking out off the top of the stock BOV2)drill a hole in the bottle cap slightly smaller than nipple diamiter.3)stick nipple disk (lol) into bottle cap from top end of cap and glue thems bitchis together4)after drying, set bottle cap into end of hose and clamp in hose with hose clamp5)clamp on crazy big pipe sticking out of lower hotpipe6)you done

I used and extra rubber sleeve/cup on mine (shaped like the bottle cap; set the nipple disk and bottle cap inside it)

I ran the vac hose from that nipple to the boost controllor solinoid to the wastegate. Get a hotpipe with a flange for a BOV welded on it already, makes things easier.

thanks for the quick reply....either im not understanding ur post..or u missunderstood me....the bov flange is not a problem....what is the problem is the vaccuum line goin to the i/c pipe from the actuator...do i need this nipple on the piping or is it the same as if i were to tap off one of my manifold vaccuum lines...i saw on s a website a nipple on the hotpipe..which is what i want...but with a bov flange too...but i cant find a hotpipe like this...thanks for the help

You do NOT want your wastegate vac line comming from the intake manifold. You want it comming from the upper hotpipe, lower hotpipe, or the compressor outlet itself. That doodad I drew up there goes on the greddy intercooler kit hotpipe, not the upper hotpipe, and is for the vac line that goes to the wastegate. I suck at explaning stuff so dont feel bad it you cant understand my gibberish

The vaccume line that goes to the BOV you do want to get from the intake manifold.

For the upper hotpipe, just get one with a BOV flange.
