It doesn't look right, but it's cool that Hotwheels is putting out an S-chassis, so I am happy.

Heh, I always liked the superbird. I love the slick aerodynamic appearance. Plus that wing IS functional! (only at NASCAR speeds)

I love the superbird and the gigantic wing is probably the thing that makes it for me. Such a ridiculous design, that for some reason works with that car.

Yea it was such a REDICULOUS design that NASCAR had to outlaw the Superbird/Daytona because they dominated so much.

he spelled ridiculous right. The fact remains, the design is ridiculous, and the guy admitted to it working w/the car. What's wrong w/his statement?

I want to know why the Design is Considered RIDICULOUS (Thank you Ms Spell check Chingon) when it worked so well??

The people thought having fans that caused downforce on Chapperlles was too. And they banned them after dominating so much.

I just corrected your spelling 'cuz it seemed like you were correcting the other guy (capitalized letters). I consider the design ridiculous because when I look at it, all I can think is, "wow that's ridiculous". It doesn't matter if it works fine, if it looks ridiculous to ME, than it's ridiculous.. Don't confuse ridiculous w/non-functional.

Then its ridiculous to you....

What else that is rediculous is your opinion.

you have to remember that this was in the days when stock cars WERE STOCK. You had to produce a certain amount of the car before it could be raced. The Superbirds and Daytona Chargers sat on car lots for years after their production date. They weren't money makers for MOPAR. Their function was solely to run at the oval tracks. The money for MOPAR came with the RoadRunners and Chargers (and later 'Cudas/Challengers). AND FYI, the Superbird is built on the Roadrunner/Satellite platform and the Daytona Charger is built on the ... drum roll... Charger platform. Add a nose, wing to a Roadrunner/Charger and you have it.
