I recently installed an A/C line on my car. I converted the KA A/C line to fit the SR compressor and I am concerned about heat. The line runs about an inch away from the turbo. I was wondering what the best thing to do to prevent heat damage. I searched for heater hose wrap at Advanced and Autozone and came up with nothing. I also found some heat resistant silicone tape online found at the link below. I'm not sure if this would be the correct thing to use for this application.http://www.adlinsulflex.com/he...CWKXQ

What is the best product to use and where can I get it so that I can protect my A/C line?

If the line is that close to the turbo, then use fiberglass wrap and ss zip ties. Any kind of tape will be worthless unless it's a little ways away from the direct heat.

Yeah, something like that. That's a good price on that listing. I only recommend fiberglass wrap for stuff that is right by the turbo. If it's not that close then I would use reflective heat tape. If you use fiberglass, try to not to mess with it too much, and use gloves. The more you mess with it the more particles that can come off.

Thanks. I went ahead and bought the item in that listing. I appreciate the info.
