1993 USDM Nissan 240SX, 5-speed, fastback.

Just had the clutch changed to a Stage 3 XTD 6-puck sprung clutch that I got from eBay. I also had the transmission fluid changed using Valvoline 75W-90 Full Synthetic. As of the date of this post, I am halfway through the break in period @ around 250 miles (500 miles suggested minimum). During my drives, I've started to notice that my center console feels hotter than normal, notably on the change holder and the console section where my right leg fall close. Any reasons why this would be? I don't down shift to slow my car down nor do I punch through the gears (not through the break in period!).

UPDATE - I forgot to mention that I replaced the flywheel with a new one (NOT a lightened one).

Thanks for the feedback!

I think I have an idea of what it may be based on this post:

zerothread?id=247136

The post is in reference to an FWD transmission, but it may be applicable to RWD.

I will have to look into the suggested potential trouble areas:

- Clutch assembly- Clutch adjustment (?)- Clutch hydraulic fluid- Shifter assembly (I have a B&M SS unit)- Transmission fluid- Synchros

I hope that it may just be as simple as the clutch adjustment and the hydraulic fluid.

UPDATE. As I am nearing the end of my break in period, I've noticed that if I really take my time in engaging the clutch, I don't experience the same heat issue as stated earlier. It seems that the heating issue only occurs when I shift rather quickly, but still taking the time to engage the clutch.
