OK, my 1995 240 SX started acting up yesterday. When it is cold you can start it up and it will run fine. After you drive it and let it sit for about 10 minutes the car will not start. Let the engine cool down all of the way and it starts and runs just time. When the engine is hot it trys to start, but does not catch, almost like it is fuel starved. I have a problem like this with another engine, but that was one where the engine started when cold but died when hot. This will run fine as long as you get it started but will not run at all if you cant get it started when hot. Has any one had a problem with hot starts and how did you fix it. Is it a distributor problem?
I went ahead and looked at the distributor cap and the rotor. The rotor have a bit of carbon on it, I cleaned that up and it seemed to run better. I have a new distributor cap and rotor coming to see if that helps fix the problem.
