I have searched all of the related topics on this and also check every sensor that I could to see if I could get rid of this situation, but it is still there. Here is the problem, you take the car out, drive for about twenty minutes, stop at the store, and it does not want to fire on all cylinders. If you catch it early enough, and know that it is not going to fire as normal, you put your foot to the floor. It will then start firing on one, then two, and then it will catch, rev the car to 3,000 a few times, and everything is normal now...until you have to stop again. If that does not work you have to raise the hood for five minutes, go back to step one. No problem starting when the engine is cold. I was thinking that it may be a problem with something in the distributor, I am in Florida, and the car is black, so when it sits after running it may be, hot soaking, or something like that causing the problem. maybe a problem with the camshaft position sensor? The car is a automatic, if that makes a difference. Could it be a problem with the throttle position sensor? I just can't seem to sort this one out. I have sorted out about everything else on this car and with this engine, but this problem I can't seem to find. Anyone with any ideas or past experience would be helpful.
