Hello, After working on my car all day I am writing this for some help. I have had a few beers so if the grammer and spelling are wrong then SO BE IT. I had a Guide header on my car that I got in 93. Man this this thing is MEAN Looking Compared to the Hotshot I now have. The 4 pipes I think were 2 1/2" and the thing just looks like a header built for a big V8. I had a few cracks that I could not get to weld so I got a hot shot off of Ebay. It was hell to install. I have a ruptured disk in my back and my friend was not that helpfull. After 4 hours I got it on. The O2 Sensor is the only thing that fits.I am not sure what the 2 other things are and what they do. I think the one clores in is something to do with EGR. Do I need this connected? The fitting on the header is smaller then the connector that goes in. The guy I bought it from had it pluged up. I put the plug back in and I am not sure what to do with the stuff that is left over. Do I need this? Can I take it off? Will it do anything for performance if removed? Now the third fiting was all the way in the back and it does not fit the header. The fitting on the header is smaller and I cannot get the piece to connect to the header. What is that thing anyway. Do I need that connected or can I plug it up like the EGR? I am sorry if I sound like an idiot but I really do not know that much about these things. I am going to a muffler shop pecause this header is longer and I need them to cut my exhaust. I was going to get them to plug the other hole or put a smaller fitting or do whater needed to get it fixed. SORRY SO LONGI guess I need to know what are the 2 other ports are on the header and do I need them? It sounds really bad now because I have just an open header with a big leak off the pipe in the back. Please help or give me suggestions of what to do. I might just weld my original header to fix its leek and sell the hotshot. I will post the picture of my original header in the AM. It makes the hotshot look like a baby. I live in Louisiana and do not have emmissions test so I can do whatever to get the most HP. T H A N K S Peabody

The fitting near the upper/ rear of the header is for the EGR, I think it will trigger a check engine light if left disconnected, but I am not positive on that. The other fitting on the bottom is for the AIV. It is supposed to put clean (unburned) intake air into the exhaust when there is a vacuum present in the exhaust system. The AIV seems to malfunction for most people. Mine was giving exhaust into the intake! Search on this forum for AIV and you'll find that many take them off and plug it without getting the engine light. Just so happens I am going to take mine out right now. Hopefully my idle will get a little smoother.
