Hot Injector Resistor Box?

My DSM injector resistor box is getting really really hot while its plugged in. If I remove the 12 volt power supply it will stop. I know resistors get hot and Im sure these have built in cooling fans but mine is getting too hot to even touch. Only other place I have seen somone write about this was a Honda forum and they said their inline 10ohm resistors were getting really hot too. Would my battery being on a charger make it do that? Can i just weld on some cooling fins?
