hot in the summer, room temperature in the winter 2018 Frontier

I have a 2018 Frontier with the dual climate control system. Starting this past summer, it would only blow hot air on the driver-side while the passenger side was ice cold. Now in the winter, it is almost the opposite. The driver side is lukewarm at best, sometimes cooler.

My conclusion as of now is that the blend door motor located by the passenger side firewall needs to be replaced. Before I start ripping apart my dash, does anyone have any input on what else it could be and if is the actuator, any advice for removing the dashboard and accessing it?

Thank you very much

That's awfully early in its life to start having blend door issues.

I'd almost be tempted to take it in for a service visit at the dealership, see what they say. The HVAC plumbing and under-dash work, even on the older trucks, is a PITA (I just replaced the entire HVAC system on a 97 Hardbody). Yours has the added complexity of electronic controls AND more 'stuff' under the dash.
