As in a brand name? "Hot Cams"? Don't think so. That would sound dumb as a brand name. Anyway, no.

from what iv know, and kdnt know if this is what ur talking about, hot cam referrz to swapping an exhaust cam in the place of the intake cam, exhuat cams have a longer and higher lift than the intake manifold. that what i think ur might be talking about..

Hes right.

Hot cam = s13 exhaust side camshaft rotated 4 teeth CCW and used as an intake camshaft.

I personally have used the 248/232(the most common most beneficial swap) camshafts N/A and it kicked freaken ***, the car sounded wicked and had nice overall power.

What about Single cam heads just because I'm cheap and want to do something weird, can I install let's say one of the camshafts out of the twin cam into the single head? Call me crazy...

Crazy. Although I have not checked any possibility of such a swap working, I sincerely doubt that DOHC cams would work in a SOHC. 1st there is most likely a difference in legnth, and physical attachment to the engine. Then the design of such cams would be quite different.However, there is always talk of swapping the entire head from a DOHC onto a SOHC block. Or you could get yourself a genuine NISMO upgraded camshaft for your SOHC and call it a practically OEM day.

SOHC camshafts are much more aggressive. You can put massive cams in a SOHC, with a DOHC your limited.

No, it wouldnt work anyway. lol

there is a company called hot cams, they make cams for dirtbikes, atv's, and utv's. Their cams are pretty decent. Maybe they are expanding their operation... i dunno

OMG! Are you fuucking serious? I swear you people obtained knowlege from a friggen "Cracker Jack" box.

SOHC = 12 valves / 4 = 3 valves per cylinderDOHC = 16 valves / 4 = 4 valves per cylinder

SOHC = 1 cam with 12 lobesDOHC = 2 cams with 8 lobes per cam

NO! A DOHC cam will NEVER work on a SOHC motor.

There are plenty of places to get an aftermarket cam for the SOHC. Many of whom have different "stages". And you can have most cam companies do a custom grind for you.
