ok first these three: 1. off of throttle body. 2. behind throttle body, and 3. that big one with the t (the 3 hoses that are connected together with that clip)

next, at the back of the motor. on the back of the manifold there are 4 hoses. the only one conected goes tho the passenger side valve cover. then there is another big one that is cut. a small port with no hose, and a medium one that is cut. then there are the vacuum lines. there is the fpr goes under the manifold and stops where its cut with the red mark. before that there is a t that goes to another t. where does that hookup?then the next one down is blank on both ends. extra?then the blue one goes to the swirl thing. then there is the green one that is just chillin.

where do i hook these up? i dont have a fsm, and my computer seems to refuse to dowload one.

and just incase this engine bay looks different to you, remember, im putting it in a datsun

being that you are fitting this into a datsun 1600 (510) you will not need most of themwith the exception of on e of the little pipes running a the back of the engine which will be for the wastgate of the turbo etcone of the others near the throttle body is for the cold air startit just depends on what ecu you are running .but we usually strip a lot of those off our engines when doing conversionsif you could label the pictures with numbers it may be easier to describe

first pic#1 blank it off#2 use this outlet to connect a boost gauge#3 idle/cold start pipe....connect it in AFTER the AFM

second picsmall port - no hose. - connect your fpr and variable intake buterfly thing to thismedium one - goes to your brake booster ( a booster from a datsun 180B BOLTS in with no mods )

ditch the whole assembly of those 4 steel vac lines - dont need them

a lot of the vacumn fittings on CA's go to emmissions crap like carbon canisters e.t.c that you dont need to put into your 1600

the pipe for the wastegate comes directly off the front of the turbo inlet housing.

If you want to, add me to your MSN, and have a chat sometime, once I find a gearbox, I'll be able to start my CA18 Datsun! :)

Pic 1#3 should go on the cold pipe. There is a place on the stock one for it, but for you, just get it on the cold pipe somehow.#1 Cap it#2 we used as the source for the wastegate vacuum.

Pic 2Connect red and blue with a tee, then connect the tee to the port on the PCV. The booster gets its vacuum from the big port on the PCV. The two ports that come off the bottom of the PCV in an upside down "V" are for coolant and are not necessary.

ok quick question also! here is the pic.

you see the three hoses leading out of the side of the intake mani. they are labeled in colors, i believe that they are red, blue and green. they route through the middle of the manifold and connect to the 3 lines that ca18datsun510 menstioned above. BUT ALSO, the connect to a black box container that sits up near the fire wall and fender? what is taht container for and will i need it or should i just tap them all closed?

that is your carbon canister.you don't need it for your engine to run, but it depends on what emissions laws your state has....you may have to keep it.

otherwise...throw the set of hard vac lines away

The colour coded vac lines run to a vacuum tank.. which will also have attached 1(manual) or 2(auto) solenoid switchs along with two 1way valves.

The line for the secondary butterflys runs from the plenum - 1way - vac tank - solenoid - 1way - butterfly actuator.

The line for the fuel reg (auto) runs from the plenum - solenoid - fuel pressure reg. (man) runs from the plenum - fuel pressure reg.

Im not 100% how the line(green) works... it must 't' in somewhere at the vacuum tank ??? it then travel behind the head via a metal tube which then runs over the ex mani down to somehow connect into the boost control solenoid.

Hope the rest helps though...
