hose problem on stock intercooler

The stock intercooler has an acuator on the cold side of the piping, and the metal 1/8 inch tubing to the acuator is bent. I am definatly going to replace the piping but was curious what the acuator does and what you do with the assembly when you get a Front mount??

Me thinks the actuator your talking about is the OEM recirculation valve (BOV), and it's quite obvious that u replace the OEM BOV with an aftermarket item when u upgrade to a front mount :D
