hose line?

what does the silver hose connect to? it has some fluid type stuff in there and it think it was for the a/c that i took out. and the second hose i am asking about it the one that it torn in half just above the oil filter. i dont know what it hooks up to and what it does.

That silver hose is either the sending line or return line (not sure which) for your heater core. That's how coolant passes through your interior via underneath the dash to give you hot air when you turn the climate control on. As for the other one it looks like a vacuum line.
