Hey all, I did a browse in the forums, but closest seem to provide this thread

2003-se-transmission-pan-t553473.html?h ... n#p6291986

Which is exactly my problem, but the guy never says if there is success or not. I've been on a hunt for a wrench of some sort that'll fit, but I'm not seeing any that will fit between the groove of the pan and the lip of the edge while also fitting on top of that pipe.

I'm going insane trying to jimmy pieces that work somewhat but not all the way.

Any suggestions at how to tackle this sucker? Do I need to remove the whole pipe in front of it? Is that possible/plausible?

Thanks for the help

In the thread you referenced, people said to take the bolts that hold the pipe to the bell housing out, and you'll
have enough wiggle room to get a wrench in.

Yeah, I loosened four of the fasteners, the two right on it, and one to each side, still couldn't get it to budge much enough for a socket wrench to get in there. But, I ended up going wrench hunting and finally found a box wrench at osh with enough lip to wrap the tippy top of the bolt and 1/16'th of a turn at a time, 5 minutes later, got one of the bolts off, and then same for the other.

Moral of the story, buy good quality multiversital, stared box wrenches.

Man, that was a cruel placement for the hose, and there's plenty of room for it to have been anywhere but directly in the way.

Thanks for the reply!
