horsepower to expect?

I want to get a good estimate on what kind of power im making so i'll know whether im lying or not

KA24DE, mostly stock.short ram intake with k&n filterCustom exaust with magnaflow high flow cat, 18in resonator (aka glass pack) and powertech muffler. stock exhaust mani and downpipe.

I know its not much but Im just getting started with this car and wanted to get a good baseline hp estimate. The intake was advertised as a dyno proved 6.7bhp gain, for what it's worth.

I say about 160-165hp?

stock = 150~intake/exhaust = 1-10?

^^^ That would be flywheel horsepower, not wheel horsepower, that the dyno will spit out.

So a stock S14 usually does between 125-130rwhp.

Intake is about ~5, exhaust maybe another 10...if I were you, I'd expect 140rwhp, but you may do a little higher.

Thanks, those charts really help. I did some rough math, comparing my mods to the chart that was closest to my car. I figure im making about ~137rwhp and ~146 lb/ft. And with some really really rough math, I converted those numbers back to flywheel measurements. I came up with ~171bhp and ~173lb/ft. Sound about right?

137rwhp is about 165rwhp...

To determine crank HP, use:

1 - driveline loss %...

Assume 17% for a 240SX...

[ 1-.17 = .83 ]

So 137/.83 = 165bhp

Base this off of stock...129rwhp.

129/.83 = 155bhp

The only real bolt on the ka is sensitive to is a turbo.
