multiple problems, posibly your maf isnt giving a good signal, or no signal at all, tty cleaning it, wiggling the harness, and making sure the ground has less then .02v difference from the negative terminal of the battery.

as for the blue smoke- your burning oil, check the oil every week at least, and make sure to keep changing the oil and filter every 3k

i do a regular oil change and filter change... Ah blue smoke means oil. Bad and normal for me. Before my engine was worked on oil would leak into my exhaust piping and sit there.... So it could be just burning off the crap inside.

But i'll check just to make sure. Maf isn't giving a good signal would make sense. That might be where my short is. I'll check all this soon. Thx for the insite

np man, also check the coolant temp sensor, if that goes bad it can do the same to your mileage

i just say to continue to do regular oil changes because many people seem to think if they are burning oil, they are constantly adding new oil and therefore dont need to change it.

lol, no problem. Nah i know i need to change the filter and oil due to it's just reciruclating the same crap over and over lol

Coolant temp sensor? the thrmostat was rusted over when my head was worked. So they replaced that. Where is the coolant temp sensor at? I know the maf is that big electronic plug on the intake..

you can spray the maf out with some brake cleaner, but be careful, those wires inside of the sensor are very fragile!

the coolant temp sensor is located on the intake manifold, it will have a red plastic piece, and it is near the top of the engine, onthe part of the manifold closest to the front of the car. you can check its resistance, it should be .33 kilo ohms? its .33 somthing, just make sure it has somthing like that when the engine is warm

well, cleaned out both mafs. I forgot to hook up the 2 vacuum lines so it kept stalling and spitting blue smoke. LOL

I don't think smoke is oil. WHen i was eating oil it was white. Local mechanic said that was fuel.

So, anway. I changed the filter and cleaned the sensors and the tubes. It idles a lot better and rides smoother with less backfire. So, hopefully this will increase my gas milage back to at least 300 per tank.

I've always heard blue is oil, white is anti-freeze and black smoke is rich.

True, black smoke is rich, but if the fuel is dumping from a large leak, it'll look a lot like coolant. Huge white clouds, smells like fuel. Pretty dangerous. Always heard oil burns dark blue as well, never heard of/seen white for oil.

those are the typical colors though i have seen some dummy smokes. like white for a rich or grey for coolant. cars are funny. the smell of the smoke is what really gives it away.

well guys nothing worked. My o2 sensor was fried thats why there was smoke comming from the signal wire that you plug into the o2 sensor. I guess something screwy is going on with my stupid car

Still bad gas milage, i sent it to a shop. Hope they can fix it.

My advice: check your fuse box, inspect all fuses esp. the "electronics" fuse.
