MY Qx4 was leaking oil long time ago.Took it to this horrible place"GoodyearGemin".They told me It's valve cover.I told them leak is at bottom of car. They insisted it's coming from on top. They did the work.I came to pick it up.Car stated shaking and almost shut off.Talked to this dumm tech, and told him what has he done with my car,and that he was supposed to just fix leak.He tried to convince me that I need cam sensor bs of p1145,and then car would run fine.Next day wanted to take my car to them to replace sensor,I realized car was still leaking oil.I got so mad I started screaming at these people.Asst Mg wanted to throw out of the store> I told him to go for it.They told me that the car is leaking from Tranie main seal and that they don't do tranie work.GM wasn't there.I took my car to another Shop specialized in trans.,and got it fixed. Later GM called me to apologize and told me to let him check the car.He claimed that he found a britle intake hose, and change it. Car was still vibrating only when it's cold, and wife had to live with till after 5 months.car started loosing power, hesitating, shaking. I called Goodyear Corprate. Was told that this store is now owned by PEPBOYS.I got a call from a new GM who told me to bring my car to see what's wrong with it.I can't believe what this guy told me.He told me that I might have a blown head gasket because all the cylinders have very low rpms, and that it woul take 25 hours to take head gasket out to find out what's wrong.I told him That they don't know what the f*** they're doing.Enough is enough I took my car to the dealer who in 1/2 hour told me that it needs MAF sensor, but wanted to charged me $ 1100.00 to fix it.I said WHAT????for just MAF sensor. He then said 950.00.I took my car which was driving like crap.Ordred a brand new CardoneMAF sensor from ebay for 95.00,and installed it myself, and car is running great.wife is happy.

that's why I don't go to dealers anymore. I went to the nissan dealer for a low idle problem. They said these engines have that problem and that they have an idle relearn process that's free BUT it will cost $100 for them to see if that's the problem. After 3hrs they said it wasn't the. Problem that my throttle body and my ecu were bad and it would cost 1600 to fix. I drove it for a couple weeks and thought I would take a look. Had their crappy mechanics put my intake back in right I would have never found the problem. I took it off and saw the throttle body was gummed up. It cost me $18 for an allen pack, mass air flow cleaner, and a box of brillo pads. Fixed the problem in 20 mins.
