After dropping the transmission to install a new pilot bushing and throwout bearing retainer spring, I've got a gut-wrenching (sp?) noise.

Here's the problem:

After driving great for a day and a half, I'm getting what sounds to be (although I hope to god it's not) a rod knock.

It occurs at idle and up to around 2k rpm and then seems to disappear until deceleration.

The transmission shakes horribly as does the engine, but the idle is smooth.

Depressing the clutch pedal makes a swoosh type sound.

I've recorded the sound I'm getting and it can be found here: sound clip

you might not have tightend all the bolts on the flywheel/ clutch down or you might not have put the brackets on properly. if im not mistaken there are 3 brackets. 2 for the transmission and one for the driveshaft. and if you dont put the brackets for the driveshift on properly it will knock like a mutha****a
