ok so when i got my 240 the horn didnt honk, the fuse labled horn beside the coolant overflow is good, and the fuse labled horn under the air filter is good. i got an aftermarket wheel, and im pretty sure i know how to put the hub and wheel together, but im just going to erase everything i though and pretend i knwo nothing about cars and im going to ask if someone can please walk me through the set up of putting my new wheel on. this is what came in my boss kit.

this is what came with my wheel.

idk why but the boss kit horn button and the bride button are different. (boss kit on left bride on right)

this is what the inside of the steering wheel column looks like ( i know the one wire is disconnected, it doesnt work when it is connected but i was messing around with it.)

somebody PLEASE walk me through this set up and get my freaking horn to honk!!!

Just did mine this morning to pass inspection. The wire in the column is a ground wire for the horn. You must use the 2 tab button unless the new button will contact a ground. What I did was run one wire to the button, and another from the button to ground. When you push the button it will give ground for the horn relay to work.

so do i connect the wire from my hub to the button and then wire another wire from the button to a ground somewhere in the car? which prong out of my button goes to which? one is straight and one is curved, so which connects to which? and what purpose does does the silver spring that pokes out of the side of my button serve?

thanks for the help.

That plastic disc with the metal plate insert goes first and makes contact with the the little brass button poking out of the column, which allows it to turn while still making contact. You will take the wire coming from that and connect on one side of the button, and another going to the hub somehow to make contact with the ground from the actual steering shaft.
