Hello everyone. I have a question about horn wiring. This car had a very small Grant steering wheel no horn. The horn was on a toggle switch under the dash.. Not very practical. I bought a new Grant steering wheel with a horn but when disassembling I realized the PO had just rigged this switch to one of the original push knobs shown in the pic and ran a ground. How can I hook this up properly to work with the new wheel?

anyone? Would love to get this done. I cannot seem to find any type of diagram explaining the interior horn wiring. Anything would be helpful. Thanks!!

There's a section in the FSM just for the horn, and is called out in the section title... http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi - Check out page 89 of the electrical section.

The horn system is very simple: Horn makes connection to ground, that ground connection triggers relay in the relay box, that makes a hot for the horns to go off.

If they haven't hacked up the rest of the system besides the wheel, then you just need to make it so your horn pad will make a connection to chassis ground when depressed.
