I've noticed that when i start my car, most of the time right when it starts up the horn will goes off twice quickly. I've read thru the manual and could not find anything. I know for sure the alarm did not go off prior to that. It happened several times now. Once a while it doesn't happen. I couldn't pin point the cause yet. Doors, trunks weren't opened. I can't be sure if it happened prior to the service check but it sure has becoming too frequent after the service. Prolly have to take it back. Weird .... Anyone has any idea?

Dude do you have the Chapman alarm system installed from the dealer? I had mine installed at the dealer and I was having a lot of problems with the alarm. First the car would be parked in my garage and the car would honk twice. I took it to the dealer and they reset the alarm module. After that I took it home and an hour after I parked it the alarm would go off. Took it to the dealer and they changed the alarm module. Took it home and this time the lights would blink on their own a few times. Then the car would honk. And then the alarm would go off. Took it to the dealer and told them to take the whole damn alarm system off. I talked to the service manager and he told me personaly that many people have come back with problems with their alarm systems. And the only reason the dealer was still selling the alarm was because they had a contract with the alarm company. Thats just my info and maybe some helpful advise.

Hey, no, I didn't get any alarm installed. As far as I know, the A/C do come w/ Nissan security system.

Ok dude. I knew that when I bought the car, but I wanted the extra security from people breaking into my car and stealing my laptop, CD's and other stuff so I bought the after market alarm system and the SAT TRACK system from the dealer when I bought the car. When I told them to take the alarm off they refunded the cost of the alarm to Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. so that I will not get charged for the cost of the alarm and interest. Well dude the car is new so I would think it has a warranty. That it to the dealer and let them know whats going on. Here is some advice for you. I worked at a Volkswagen dealer as a TECH for a few years so when you go and tell them about the problem don't get pissed at them and give them crap because they will not like you and your car will be treated like crap which will probably not get the problem fixed. Just be calm when you go and get in good with the service writer. Then let them know whats going on. Thats just my .02 cents dude. It's up to you weather you take it or leave it. Good luck on your car dude and I hope it gets fixed because I know what a pain in the a!* it is to have a problem like this with your car.
