Horn does not work

This doesnt seem to be a common problem, does anyone have any ideas?

It is not the relay, I have replaced that. It is not a fuse either. I can make the horns work by powering them at the relay board, so it must be something upwards of that point.

I also removed the airbag to make sure there was no corrosion, there wasn't.

My security light blinks 24/7 when the car is turned off but I don't think that is related seeing as how when the alarm goes off the horns DO work.

Check for power to and after the relay using a multimeter, while you push the horn button?

The alarm horn and car horn sounds are different.

sorry for the slow reply but I dont quite understand what you mean before the relay and after. I removed the cover from the relay and forced it to make the necessary connection and the horn works. So I assume the problem is upwards from there, right?

Is there some kind of security module that is common to go bad in these cars?



According to the diagram, the only thing between the horn switch and the relay is some component called "SMU". I guess the switch itself could be bad too possible.
