Last night I decided to go to a good friend's house for a cookout, I just returned from a deplyoment (which is how I payed for this car haha) and I have been back for about a week, I constantly joked with my family about how once i pay it off someone is going to hit it. When I parked my car I took an extra minute to make sure all my tires were in the grass as to avoid being side swiped. Well much later in the evening we take one of the girls who is starting to get sick to bed, a friend drives her car with me (so I can get my roommate to come pick up my car and drive it home) and I return to find this, my car almost pushed into a ditch, the passenger side window busted in and my iPod still laying in plain view. No one breaks into a car and leaves an iPod so I knew something fishy was going on. Come to find out one of the people at the cookout was jealous that I was hanging out with a girl he liked, so he decided to ram my car and shatter the window in.

All in all one of the crazier events in my life, in addition to all this I was supposed to be driving this back home to see my family on Leave tomorrow. I genuinely hope no one else is having a night like this haha

ouch!!! that's crazy! words could not describe what i would do to someone that did that to my car on purpose. do you know if it's fixable? looks like 10k-15k in damage and a month in the shop.

yeah it has been a crazy last 48 hours I finished with local authorities the minimum he is getting is a hit and run, potentially much more but cut and dry hit and run. On damage, the adjuster is coming out in the next few days but if you look at the pictures it looks like the rear axle may be twisted. you can see the wheel gap on the drivers side is MUCH bigger than the wheel gap on the rear passenger door.

I am praying it is totaled at this point, if it isnt and they decide to repair it, as he he said, it will never drive the same as well as the accident will show up on a Carfax and the value of my AC will drop drastically, I have it almost paid off I would much rather just have the check for it's value

Airbags deploy? I can't tell from the pics. If they did, and you end up keeping the car, make sure you have the paper work that shows they were properly replaced. Front airbags needs to be reinstalled in the car by law, side curtain DO NOT so sometimes they do not show on paperwork/reports.

Air bags will not deploy unless they are energized, engine running, and car moving greater than 5 mph.

It actually may end up coming to that, I did not even know this was possible but if his insurance adjuster thinks that this was an intentional act then his insurance can deny his claim. Insurance only exists to cover inccidental accidents, not intentional acts, on the plus side he admitted to doing it so in the event I do have to take it to court it'll be pretty straight forward :)

Wow, I thought the ***hole who hit and run my car at Ranga's apartment was enraging. I'd hate to see the guy show up after I found out he did this on PURPOSE. What a class A douche bag nutsack. Must have been drunk to do something this redneckish and immature.

I could rag on with more insults but it wouldn't help. Just hope the best for you comes about and in good time. New car or real pro repair, whatever works for you, and sue that stupid f***. Even if you get nothing, let him pay and live through the mistake he made.

Welll it's been a few days, I've been with my family so that's why, anyways my car isn't totaled it is supposedly only $5400 worth of damage. I know my exhaust didn't sound right whenever they started it up to be towed but it wasn't on the list of problems they found so hopefully they catch that. It is being repaired by the dealership that my local nissan dealership pushes their work to so it should be fine. As for the guy, he is in his late 20s I'm pretty sure and he was super drunk haha, either way that is some serious mental health issues to snap over a girl who isn't interested in you lol.
