Hooray for rusted frame rails.

So naturally, my damn frame rails are rusting out. Living in MA it's not surprising that it happened eventually, even taking care of the car.

I've looked at the rail weld-ins from xcessive and I'm not sure if they're gonna do the trick. I've got rust-through in the spot those cover on both sides, but I have another rust-through spot up closer to the strut tower on the end of the rail that don't think those will cover.

I'd just find another FB chassis and swap everything of value over but I can never even freaking find one within 100mi that is even close to workable.

Anyone know if it's even worth trying to find another source of frame rails?

I have an 89 Hatch about to be a shell. But I live in Va Bch. So two things. 1. you can come get a shell in a month or so, or 2. drive down swap EVERYTHING here and go home with out rust. It'd be a long fun weekend though. LMK if it even sounds like something you'd be interested in.

I've pretty much had one of those alone recently. It'd be better with more people. like 3 teams of two. Something constantly getting swapped. Could be a fun BBQ weekend.

Hmm... chances are I wouldn't be able to pull that off, between work and other arrangements. Thanks for the offer though. I'll let you know if anything changes.
