ok for those of you who have been following my the drop of my ka (actually just chezedik and djpants) i got the blown ka ready to be pulled. i'm jsut curious if a single chain can be used to pull the motor+trans assembly or if i def need a leveler. (i'm guessing that in any case having a leveler would be much easier). also where did you guys hook up the bolts? would the 12mm bolt holes where the misc. grounds are connected work? they look kinda small so i want some input.

when i pulled my motor, all i used was a single chain and wrapped it around the intake and exhaust manifolds and i was able to pull the motor/trans by myself very easily. just make sure that the chain is centered and it should come out with no problem.

oh. when i had the leveler it had four chains, then i just used a bolt at about each corner of the head. just look for a bolt and make sure its a decent sized bolt, nothing that will break.

Leveler's are nice when you drop ka's/rb's in with the transmissions. Then you dont have to F around with readjusting the chain on your picker. It also helps get you mounts set into the crossmember because of the ac line behind the engine kinda makes that a pita at times to get engine close enouf to the firewall.
