hood wont open on my 2000 maxima

please help my battery is dead and i cant open the hood how can i solve this problem. t.y.

won't open...be more specific. have you pulled on the handle under the dash?

sorry about that, i pulled on the lever and its not popping the hood at allthe tenssion seems fine, it doesnt feel like its off. whats your take on it. thanks

push down on the hood above the latch, pull the lever, pull the hood up from the front - should unstick it.
