Hey guys, so I am in the middle of swapping a RB20DET into my S13, and i swapped the stock crossmember for one out of an A31 Cefiro (same as r32). I have the engine fully in and the transmission bolted up. I have heard of some hood fitment problems such as cutting the hood skeleton at the throttle body, and some say they used the r32 crossmember without any hood clearance problems. My engine is tilted up high near the radiator support and is not even close to being able to have the hood on. Im pretty sure its the motor mounts (im using the oem mounts) and aftermarket ones may sit lower? Any input is appreciated before i spend $100 on some new mounts to see if the engine sits any lower.

I used the s13 subframe and McKinney kit and had to cut a small section out of the hood skeleton. So it’s probably the mounts if it’s not under the core support. But my friend swapped out his ka with his full r32 swap out of his skyline and didn’t seem to have any issues.
