NICO....we might have a problem. Looks great none-the-less. I dont even know what you can do... The only thing you could do is cut out the hood and let it stick through... i guess I dunno. Looking forward to seeing what the creative minds come up with.

p.s. Get that PS reservoir outta the way - Put it in the right rear corner (as you're facing the engine).

Mine's there, and it's awesome.

I cant wait to get Chris's car on the dyno. Hoping for tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what an intake manifold designed with every bit of technology we could get into it will do for the KA.

We are hoping to see a nice change in torque in the upper rpms. If it stays flat instead of plummeting like the typical KA curve, we will see a really large increase in HP at redline.

Your #1 spark plug wire is resting on your oil filler cap, causing some clearance issues. Problem solved. next??

HAHA, man I wish I had that problem Is that the actual angle of the intake ports? I'm sure it is, I doubt you would have ignored that. Looks really good, although I have no idea in all reality what to do with a hood. Especially if this is going to marketed...lol.

The angle and the height of the intake manifold makes you do either one of two things.

A-Custom hoodorB-Try to bend/cut a stock hood out till it fits.

I think B would look badass driving down the road.

I bet thats gona put out some good numbers, that thing is sweeet.

i like that alot hangingg outta the dood gives it a blower style, I think that you should get a piece plexyglass amd mold that over the intake so all can see, but it wil be protected! Maybe just an eclipse style hump would be better/less ricey than the plexy glass

in all seriousness tho, what are u gonna do about that? i don't think that that manifold is really an option for us normal guys as i'll be damned to have to cut my hood for some extra hp lol. good luck with the numbers tho. i'm sure we will have nothing but smiles when we see the results

For anyone who is not aware of what we are doing here...

This is a test manifold that we are using to determine the proper runner length for the production manifold that we are making. Getting runners made on a curve is expensive and not realistic for the prototype manifolds. Once we find the combination we like with respectable power gains, we will be having the pieces for the runner made so that the plenum will fit nicely under the hood.

So how much is this test manifold going to be going for once it's removed??? Has to be used with a top feed inector system correct? So I'll pick up the ams fuel system with it too got my cams pistons etc from you already...

Yep. Thats the exact port angle. Its pretty steep and then add the lean of the motor and that intake is what you end up with.

I did some trimming on a hood to get it to fit as Chris posted. It was quite a shock to him. I will let him tell the story though.
