Anyone else get their hood shimmying in the wind on the highway. It doesn't really affect anything it just annoys the crap outta me. Is there a simple fix for that? I only need go like 40 mph or more for it to start. At this point I guess I should mention its a 95 base model 240sx.

i decided to not buy the kit.... im gonna get a project civic.... so im gona put the money into buy a hatch...

wish i could have told you how it went...

i have seen a wide body supra kit from them, the guy that has the hook ups for me was putting it on and it seem like a good set up. the guy he works for put the front bumper on and it fell off while they were test driving it before the molded it in, and it didnt crack or anything....

well if you go through them let me know how it goes...

WTF does "shimmying" mean? Looking at the thread topic, I'm assuming your hood shakes a lot when driving 40 mph or above. Try closing your hood :D Might also be a bad hood latch..

Same thing happens with my carbon fiber hood, but that is only because the fitment isn't perfect. Not bad for $400 though.

they are $700.00 in Japan. There are rubber bumpers at the leading corners under the hood, try threading them up higher or replacing them. That should stabilize the hood.

You think $400 is expensive for a CF hood? Where do you shop at?

my hood seems to flex and wobble at higher speeds. always makes me consider buying hood pins in case it wants to be like the car in tommy boy...

The middle of my hood (or "bonnet" as well call 'em here :pface) vibrates when I'm sitting at idle.

I've noticed it on another 180SX here as well, and figured it must be because all the sheetmetal is pretty thin all over the car...
